Seniors and Saddles

This is such a touching program!  We work with assisted living and retirement facilities to have residents out to our ranch for a time of community and nostalgia.  Being around our horses conjures up many sweet memories for those who come out.  The most common phrase is "I remember when..."  It's a privilege and a joy to listen to their stories.  Even for those who weren't raised with horses, the companionship and kindness they offer has a way of touching people profoundly.  Running W recognizes the treasure senior citizens are to the community, and we are honored to offer a way to celebrate and pour into them.

If you are an Activities Director and would like to schedule a date to bring your seniors out to the ranch, please contact Cyndie Wiltsie at runningwtrc@gmail.com.  Groups typically come around lunch time and can bring a sack lunch, or Running W can provide a BBQ complete with fresh produce grown here at the ranch.
