Board of Directors

Kim Jacobs was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, a small town next to the Mississippi River. She has a bachelor’s degree from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, with double majors in Politics and Economics. Her Master’s degree is from Kansas State University in Counseling and College Student Personnel Administration. Kim spent over 30 years working in higher education, at primarily small, private colleges. Her job titles included Director of Career Services, Dean of Students, Director of Athletics, Vice-President for Student Leadership and Vice President for Enrollment Management. She retired in 2015 to Tabernash, Colorado and soon began volunteering with the National Sports Center for the Disabled, NSCD, in their therapeutic riding program. After moving to Coeur d’Alene in 2018, she began volunteering at the Running W Therapeutic Riding Center. Kim is married to Larry Jacobs and has two daughters, Kalissa and Jessalyn. She and her husband enjoy bicycling, hiking, kayaking and cross country skiing.
